Bole for barter
« on: October 10, 2015, 10:14:00 PM »
I just had an old elm tree taken out. Lightning strikes finally did it it. One of the branches had a nice size bole growing on it. Is there any market for and elm bole? I'll cut a slice off tomorrow and post pics. I'm thinking a lot of knife handles and risers could come from it. I'll post o a couple other threads too.

I don't know. Is this same as a burl? Probably be better to post this in knife crafting and/or Bowyers bench forums.
