OK, I'll play. I contacted Woody about a year and a half ago because I had purchased some heads on the St. Jude's auction, but was completely ignorant of what a good stone head looked and felt like. Woody was good enough to send me one of his "seconds" that was in his opinion sharp enough to hunt with, but wasn't up to his "standards", what ever the heck that meant. LOL Anyway, last year, opening day, I nocked up a self arrow with his head on it and ended up shooting this buck.
While I was thrilled to accomplish that feet, The head broke on a rib on the off side. Woody sent me another head without me asking (although I was ready to beg)
, so this year, opening morning, I had both heads with me. The new one hafted up on another self arrow, and the broken one from last year in my pack for luck. 9AM opening morning, this one and her girlfriends made the mistake of temping Woody's death stone, and she paid the price.
I can't say enough about the generosity of the people on this site, and Woody is at the top of the list!
