Gloves question
«
on:

I am in need of a warm pair of gloves. I used a camp pair of Mechanix gloves, they aren't stich ed properly and irritated the heck out of my hands.
I picked up a pair of First Lite fingerless gloves, very warm but they aren't made for when it's cold/raining or snowing. 90% of my hunting is spot and stalk (really wish I had a treestand!) so I need something that will hold up to a little brush busting and crawling around on the ground.
Thoughts?

Warmest gloves I have are Harley-Davidson gauntlet style gloves. I have used them when snow blowing and hands stayed warm even in a January snowstorm in ND.
I couldn't bow hunt with them on tho, unless I was on stand.

I'm always on the ground and when I need gloves I use a thin Thermax glove on my bow hand and a fingerless glove on my right (I shoot a tab). No problem shooting with them on either.
I started cutting the fingers off of my gloves 40 years ago and back then I'd have fingerless wool gloves inside fingerless leather gloves. Worked great and were very durable. If you can't find what you want - improvise.
