A quick question for all the veterans. We have a 600 acre farm and Unfortunately its being logged (3 months later than scheduled). Will this greatly effect the deer or can I use it to my advantage somehow.

Deer will still walk and feed through a clear cut. Are there any trees left or were they all taken out? An island of trees can be a draw to deer. Any food sources on or near the property? Finding game trails, leading to and from feeding or bedding areas can be productive if you can find cover.

I hunt land in OH that was pretty much clear cut 8 years ago. It evolves and changes over time. It all depends on what is left and what is surrounding the land in how they use it immediately after the cut.

Hunt on the property away from active logging. They will still be there.

Logging has many phases. If they didn't clear cut yet and left some tops, roots, limbs, etc. Deer will be all in there.
You would be surprised just how hard deer are to see in what looks like a fairly open area.

They will be around. especially late season,. they will be trying to eat the buds off the tree before it hits the ground.

Most of the Loggers down here in SE Texas leave drainage vegetation to prevent erosion. Find one of these drainages and set up close to it as the deer will funnel along the drain and feel more protected.
As far as hurting your chances, don't worry as the deer will be there. In another life, I did some logging myself and it amazed me how many fresh tracks I could see every day in freshly fallen trees. The deer come to the tender food sources laying on the ground and have more to eat.
Good luck.
