Hi Jerry, I was hunting with Wayne M. in Saline Co.  He put a stand in a group of ash trees near a huge fallen oak that works to funnel them past the stand.

Congratulations!  That's a perfect deer to take.  The big does I've seen all have a little tyke close behind.  Some really late fawns down here still nursing, all their spots, about the same size as the jack rabbits. A lot of fun to watch.

That is a good stand location with the 2 trees concealing you. I have always had better luck when in a stand with tree cover.
