Same as others, I hunt more than just one method.

I have yet to master the patients it takes to sit in a stand or blind. I just move slow and try to spend more time hiding and listening than moving.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Sorry about the poll settings, I've never actually setup a poll on a forum before. Kind of surprised that as of right now there are as many ground blind hunters as stalkers.

I voted tree stand because I hunt more out of a tree than the other 2, but I have employed and enjoyed all 3 methods.

I hunt all three methods, just depending on what the day/hunt call for...

I'm a ground guy. A lot more comfy down there and I like the opportunity to get em close... eye to eye.

If stalking is what you like, do it. I know what you mean about trying it here in the northeast but it can be done. I've never personally done it but know some who have. Not as productive as stand or blind hunting but a heck of a lot more rewarding if you do happen to connect. I would assume it's a lot easier after a rain. I'm going to try it more during the next couple of weeks when the bucks are most likely moving during the day and might be receptive to rattling and calling. Good luck.

When hunting whitetail deer, my primary quarry, I hunt from tree stands. I love the view and the trees.

When hunting other big game I tailor the tactic to the  terrain and the beast; mules and pronghorn from ground blinds and black bears from tree stands.

I'd love to say how I have hunted moose .... but I haven't.
