What traditional archery really is.
« on: October 26, 2015, 08:33:00 PM »
See I have figured it out. It doesn't matter one bit what kinda bow you shoot or how you shoot it. Fact is you just aren't a traditional bow hunter if you don't have a cool brimmed hat. Ball caps don't count. Boonies do but, just barely.  ;)

P.S. This is just a fun thread so don't get all bent out of shape if you rock a ball cap.

Blasphemy!
We live in the present, we dream of the future, but we learn eternal truths from the past

The hat seems to be "traditional", but the rest?
Sorry, but a metal riser bow with carboneros (which are so ugly I would not shoot them if they were $10 a dozen)....   :D    :D    :D

My wife always tells me everybody is entitled to their opinion.  My opinion agrees with tecum-tha....without the smiley faces.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Yup, they shoot just fine for me too! I don't think deer give a hoot what color arrow goes through their lungs either, lol.

Oh, and I have several hats like that, but I have to admit your hat band is way cool! I never could shoot a trad bow with a ball cap. The string always hits the bill, so it's soft brimmed hats or a Radar O'Reilly cap when it gets really cold for me.

I also have a problem with my string running into the front of my ball cap when I draw.

I love my hat.  Its not only a draw check (string to brim), it proven to be great luck.  I wear it hunting/shooting with my bow(s) and its proven itself lucky fishing too.
