Schafer Sivertip
« on: October 28, 2015, 03:55:00 PM »
I got my new Silvertip on Monday.  Here are the specs:

14in riser with his longest limb making a 58" bow.  Its 54@28.  When Dave and I planned this last June 2014 he said he has never done a bow with that combo and said "that would be a Rocket."  Hence the name, The Rocket.  So the stage was set.  I told Danny about it.  So he jumped on the order too.  So I have 1 and he has 2.

Macasser Riser with BW Ebony crescents.  Checkered with Daves finest checkering, leaf carving, and a Mastadon Ivory inlay.  I mailed Dave some Eland Horn since he said he never used that before.  Eland Horn up both sides of the riser.  Compass in the riser too.

Limbs are Exhibition Grade Walnut Burl on the face and Karelian Birch Burl on the belly of the limbs.  Limb cores are Bamboo.  Tips and overlays are Eland with BW Ebony underneath.  Limb wedges are BW Ebony too.

Beth has some limbs in stock with my veneers if you want to know what it looks like.  They were limbs Dave missed weight on.

I will let Danny post pics if he can.  Maybe of his bow again too since its a Rocket.

I want sure if you were still going with Rocket #3 or not Felix.  I know it was delayed a bit cuz you couldnt decide on wood choices.  What are you going with?  Still using the Eland like me and Danny?

Keith I dunno if it is still available, I really would like that Mastodont ivory. In the riser I went with Gabon matched with a Thuja burl Crescent.
