new Mad Dog Prarie Predator
« on: November 01, 2015, 02:56:00 PM »
contacted Mike a few weeks ago, went with his recommendations for a Zebra wood riser, elm limbs and that cool old school green glass. Put an adjustable nock set and went to 15 yards and let her rip. Shots 1&2, 3&4 respectively.
Nice craftsmanship, great shooter. Dropped down to 45lbs. I like her so far!
Thanks Mike!

Mike's bows shoot really sweet!  Outstanding. .. Good thing you did two strings of two arrows! Otherwise it could get expensive!

Good luck, shoot straight and God bless,

I just picked up a 41 lb bow and it is a nice shooter. Thinking I may order another a bit heavier. Feels good in the hand too.. Nice shooting there.

Gorgeous bow.
Can you do me a favor and post some more pics of the grip. A pic of the belly side of it and that thumb locator .
Thanks

SOR, I first want to compliment you on an excellent looking bow and some good shooting!

But I must ask why did you have to post this?

I have a Prairie Predator ordered from Mike and have been like a kid at Christmas waiting for it.  In fact, I emailed Mike today and actually apologized for being a pest.   :)

Your photos only make me more anxious!   :)

My only concern is that once I receive this first bow, I will be tempted to place another order for my second!

I haven't shot his bows but they appear highly regarded, look VERY nice, and Mike was a super guy when I called to speak with him.

I will post pics of mine when I receive it.

Basstar, you're going to love it. I never shot his bows until this one. I ordered it "sight unseen" so to speak. But his bows have a great reputation, I did a lot of research and sent several questions to owners.
I sent the whole payment and really had forgot about it....then there was this long package that showed up.
As far as being tempted on a second bow....go for it...I am looking already at another one of his  ;)

WOW beautiful..... I am hoping to order one soon....... I have been thinking about the green glass now I am sold on the green glass..... I think I want a darker walnut or something for the riser.  But man I am envious of your beautiful new bow.

SOR, my story is very similar to yours.

I saw Mike being recommended a couple of times, checked out his site, did a bit more online research, and gave him a call.

He asked a few particulars and seemed like a real straight up guy so I asked him to build my bow.

I sent in the full payment and with the exception of sending him a couple of emails, I am just waiting patiently.....well perhaps impatiently!   :)

Pics posted here upon arrival.

Beautiful.  I would love to order three Prairie Predators.  A 62" for myself around 45-50#, A 58" for my son around 30-35#, and a 58" for my daughter around 20-25#.  And the awesome thing is, I could get all three for the price of just one of most customs on the market.
