NC Buck with 1970's Mercury Hunter
«

Took my best archery buck to date three weeks ago. He came in with the oldest buck I've ever seen. He had to be 4.5-5.5 years old or older. The older buck never settled and eventually walked off. I was able to draw and shoot his partner here at 7 yards. He ran about 75 and crashed. I used a 62" Ben Pearson Mercury Hunter 63#@28 and 2216's with a 190gr Ribtek that I bought from Biathlonman in the sponsor classifieds mounted on a steel 100gr insert. Total arrow weight 690gr. The Ribteks sharpen really well, are HUGE and worked perfectly.

Great shot on a good buck with a classic-like how you got it done.
