Any recommendations on arrow saws?

I'm in the market for an arrow saw. Trying to tune your bow without the proper tools is difficult when you don't have a bow shop handy...anyway! There only seems to be two main brands, Apple and Weston. The Weston is cheaper, but I don't want to buy it just because it's cheaper, I want one to last me a good while. I need input! Thanks in advance.

If you have a Dremel just get a grinder wheel for it. Works like champ.

I thought about a dremel jig, but mine bit the dust on me a while back. I'll probably by the Apple, get the right tool for the job I guess. Keep it come'n, I would like to hear people's experiences with different saws. Thanks

I've had my Weston for seven or eight years, unless you get unlucky with a lemon it should be just fine for non professional use, and I bet it would hold up pretty well for that too! I think it's worth the extra couple of bucks to get the one with the dust collection shroud. I had one of the Harbor Freight cut off saws and it even was set up on a jig table for cutting arrows, it worked but doesn't hold a candle to a real arrow saw in my opinion.

I use a dremmel and a tube cutter. Big Jim sells a neat little one I might try. It is quite a bit cheaper than the others.

I mainly shoot carbons so I need a high speed saw to cut em. Weston gets about as good of reviews as the Apple and there quite a bit cheaper then Apple saws.

Guess I'm a cheap skate ...... the Apple saws are just too expensive, when I can get it done with a Dremel and disc sander which I already have.
But, to each his own.

We run an apple in our archery shop in CO. No complaints, maybe overkill if your not cutting ALOT of shafts.

I use my metal cutting chop saw. Works like a champ and does much more than just arrows.
