Just whipped up a batch of moose goo to bring out tomorrow. Don't know if I'm more excited about eating it or hunting tomorrow.

4 parts honey
4 parts corn starch
2 parts peanut butter

Roll it in a tortilla

Super high energy backpacking meal. The corn starch thickens the peanut butter and honey to a dough like consisance. Best if you donot refrigerate. You can leave it out for a week or so.

Y'all sure do bring some noisy snacks  :) . I make a big bag of trail mix and take a couple handfuls per day and make sure there is some chocolate coated coffee beans to fuel my addiction.  A couple every bars just in case and an apple.  If I'm hiking there'll be some dried pita bread and a can of sardines packed in oil for the extra calories.  If I'm hiking I like lots of calories but just sitting doesn't burn many so I cut back a lot.

If I'm going to be out all day a I also bring along a can of smoked oysters.  Lots of protein and they don't take up much room.
