« on: November 11, 2015, 10:31:00 AM »
Getting on in age has compelled me to wear eye glasses , hate to wear them but what are you going to do. When wearing hat and face mask hunting any one have any tricks for keeping the dam glasses from fogging up , from our breath i guess. Any ideas its a pain !

I've never been able to come up with a solution to that. Going without the face mask helps.  At least when walking around.

Maybe other ideas will be proffered.

Go with face paint instead of the mask.

There are anti fog products made for glasses...they are not perfect but better than nothing

CatCrap lens cleaner/anti fog has worked well for me.  Think I bought mine at REI.

Cut holes for nose and mouth.

Scuba divers breathe through their mouth and the mask is over your nose.  Spitting on your glasses will not help if you breathe on them.

I've never been able to wear glasses with a mask and keep them clear.

I m thinking face mask as in the kind that keeps the face warm.  If it's for camo, the face paint should work. Never had much luck with the anti fog formulas.

Face mask and eye glasses will not work in cold temps or hot. I fog up always. Just have to find another way that will work for you

Pull the mask down enuf to go under your nose.  It keeps the warm moist air from geting up to your glasses.  Works for me, anyway.

Tried contacts, they were OK but never got comfortable.

Ummm...dude...yer not wearing your glasses in the approved location!        :knothead:    :bigsmyl:

Those anti-fog sticks and such are not much more then soap!  I've read if you coat your glasses with regular dish soap, let dry, they wont' fog.  I don't do that myself and just pull down under my nose when things fog... :(

Would love to go the contact route but being in the tri-focal stage, I can only pick one vision range.

Grow a beard.  I can't wear masks with my glasses either - just have to go without one.  But I never hunt in cold weather without my neck gaiter!
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch
