Not a whole lot to share for a play by play hunt. I'm blessed to live in the heart of some great Blacktail country where the cougars and other predators have yet to make a significant dent on the deer population. I've lived here for 6 years and this is only the second Blacktail I've harvested on my property, so it's not automatic. I'm starting to get their behaviors figured, knock on wood, and hope many more will be "Liberty-ated" in the future. I took this one from a patch of sword ferns from about 10 yards with a 50# Classic, which is my string follow bow. Double lunged him and he was down in less than 50 yards.

Beautiful blacktail Buck! I love late season in Oregon. Were you still hunting, rattling or treestanding?
