Must follow the blood
« on: November 23, 2015, 09:21:00 AM »
Well, my black walnut and hickory Mahantango Red Tail hammers another doe. This was just a yearling, but it will be good eating. Too many deer in this spot anyway. It is over browsed etc. I digress.

So, I make the exact same shot as my last deer, and I know it's a done deal. I went out to the place I thought I heard it go down. No deer, no blood....   :dunno:    I tell myself, hey dummy, follow the blood trail and never think you know where it went. Sure enough she took a hard right along the way. Found her piled up 60 yards over from where I expected. So always follow the blood.

Stick was 47#@28"  765gr arrow using Abowyer brown bear BH
