Well, my black walnut and hickory Mahantango Red Tail hammers another doe. This was just a yearling, but it will be good eating. Too many deer in this spot anyway. It is over browsed etc. I digress.
So, I make the exact same shot as my last deer, and I know it's a done deal. I went out to the place I thought I heard it go down. No deer, no blood....
I tell myself, hey dummy, follow the blood trail and never think you know where it went. Sure enough she took a hard right along the way. Found her piled up 60 yards over from where I expected. So always follow the blood.
