THE BEST LAID PLANS
« on: November 27, 2015, 02:22:00 PM »
Well--as the old saying goes--the best laid plans
often go awry. Every year I take great pleasure in
participating in the ST. JUDES AUCTION and usually come up with some pretty good treasures
to play with and enjoy. This year was no exception .
I got 2 bows and 3 knives and was looking forward
to having fun.

Then along came Murphy and his whole family !
After all the tests and scans and xrays------
I now have PANCREATIC CANCER which has also gone to my lungs --and is not curable. Now getting
CHEMO every 2 weeks.On oxygen 24/7.

Aint life grand !

Elf OUT.

That diagnostic is no good. Being a cop I have seen many people pass, and every shift I prepare myself for the possibility not to come home. It may not be what you want to hear right now, but we are all dying.  Some fast some slow, some do not know when they will go. With that in mind I have it in me to only encourage you to enjoy every minute.  It is easy to get bitter at bad news, it is easy to get down. Don't give in, be positive and I personally will keep you in my prayers.  Wishing you the best in a bad situation.
We are pulling for you and there is no such thing as not curable!  Stay strong brother.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

Not good news, but roll with the punches. Be as strong as you can and fight with all you've got.
We will all be pulling for you.

Our prayers are with you and your family. Play as much as you can, as often as you can, as hard as you can. Look it in the eye.
As David says, we are all pulling for you here.

Elf,

I will say that my pastor just recently preached on being thankful for the thorns, which life has a way of giving.  Let not this define who you are, press on and fight on.

Praying for you!
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

Abba Father please wrap your loving and healing arms around Lon.

Give him your strength and peace.

I ask this in the name of your son and I thank you for your faithfulness.
