Good job Rick!!! I'm jealous! I'm a big fat "0" so far this year!

Nice, still waiting to get my first jack with a bow, they seem to be a little harder to catch than the cotton tails. Jack rabbits are pretty good table fair in the crock pot.

My favorite way to eat jacks are just to grind them up and make nice burgers. You can get a lot of meat off the big ones

When I was a teen in the 60s we had lots of them in NW Iowa, the larger whitetail variety.  By the mid 70s I saw a distribution map of known breeding populations.  There was one small spot, right exactly where I lived between Sioux Center and Ireton and that was it. I have only seen two in the last twenty years.   The Iowa whitetail variety were bigger and believe it or not better eating than the ones out west.  The way the neighbor lady cooked them, they tasted better than geese and on an open fire spit they were even better.

Thanks fellers. I'm learning some different ways to prepare jacked up bunnies.

Hey Bill the bow I was shooting was a Big Jim's three piece buffalo bow,and yes that is stained quilted maple.

Good shooting > good eating!

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

There are plenty of those rascals here in west tx. Still looking to go shoot some. If only I could hunt the golf courses here. They are everywhere there! Good shooting
