Steve,
The glass on the back is black.  I hoped for dark brown but Cory did not have a source at the time.

Aging Osage is a recent thing with me.  I have a 40# ASL made that is all Osage and am eager to watch it grow old....like me.

I have owned Cory's one-piece and belly-mount longbows.  I prefer the one-piece.  Cory's bows are wicked-fast, and dead in the hand.  And, I love the grip.  I started drifting toward longer bows, and sold my one-piece Heartland.  Probably a mistake (I've made many.).  The person I sold my bow to also thinks it is the best longbow he has ever owned, and like me he has owned many.

Glad you like your bow; it's a beauty.

That would be me Rob. It is one of the finest shooting bows I've owned. I'm so glad you sold that one to me. I've shot many longbows from many makers. This Heartland is here to stay. I think I'm going to order a 60" after the holidays.

Cory is a top notch bowyer. I have one of his belly mounted 3 piece longbows. When he was building mine he called, texted and sent me pics every step of the bow build. Best experience I'v had with a bowyer.

Gentleman, been pretty busy but thank you for the kind words. I know you guys have owned a lot of bows of high quality and it's a privilege to be compared to them.

Tony, man that hedge looks better and better every time I see it. Gonna have to get me some more with that figure.

Britt, you are right.  Cory works very hard to make sure the customer is happy.  Cory is talented, honest, and hard-working.

Yup, it doesn't get much better than Cory! Since I live 3 houses down from him and have a small archery range in my back yard I get to try quite a few of his bows. Love the way they shoot and the beauty that he puts into them. He doesn't let one go out the door until he's completely satisfied with it. I own a couple of his bows and still have many other bows but honestly all I shoot anymore are his and a couple of selfbows that I've made myself. As others on here have said the performance is incredible and they're easy on the eyes to boot. Dave

So true, was truly satisfied with the experience with Cory during and after my build. I really enjoy shooting my 3 piece Surge, just came in from tuning up a heavy whitetail/hog arrow and am extremely satisfied with it. She throws the heavy arrow very well and accurately. One of the best for the money out there. Can't resist not posting a pic of her and the beautiful bocote.
