I expect this to be the first year in 6 that I won't purchase a new bow.  It sure is fun though planning for and anticipating a great one!

Two Blacktail Sitkas this year were plenty. Also traded one of my lefties for a RH Widow for my son.

I've been working on a new one this week. Just cut out the string nocks and started grinding away on the riser. 64" R/D similar to a 21st Century. Kingwood riser, english yew veneers under clear glass on the back and black glass on the belly. Looks like it's gonna finish around 47# @ 28".

I also have a couple of used Northern Mist Longbows on the way. A Classic and a Superior.
The scent of Autumn is like food to the hunters soul.

I am still learning what types are out there, but I anticipate shopping for my first longbow.  I still very much love my recurve, but I have been reading the traditional bowhunters handbook and the chapter on Howard Hill has got me wanting to try a longbow.
My cup runneth over

I am constantly going back and forth on what my next build will be..

I am constantly coming up with new build pipe dreams that really do sounds good at the time, and I'm sure that I would enjoy them if i followed through!

But who am I kidding, i'm sure it will end up being another TallTines!

56" Javaman Elkheart brown stained birch with some moose antler tips and an overlay.  Brown beaver tail grip/rest unsure of riser wood yet.  Have some rosewood and wenge that is special and will be sent to Gregg with the moose antler.
