Welcome aboard! This is a great place to learn, full of awesome folks with a wealth of knowledge. You have found the right place!

What bow did you order and what are its specs? Are you coming over from the dark side (compounds) or just getting started in archery? Either way, there are lots of guys and gals here who can help you avoid some of the pitfalls and add to your enjoyment of traditional archery.

Looks like you've been lurking for a while. Glad to see you finally made the leap to posting.

Hey there! Welcome..... Don't leave us hanging what did you order????? Only thing I can suggest to you right off the bat is get a quality string for it 2 if you can manage from one of the great string makers on the site! Usually about a 20 dollar upgrade and probably the biggest upgrade you can do for your shooting.  Somebody suggested that to me on my first day I was and best advice I listened to.

Heres a plug for 10 ring strings. Allen will hook you up!

Welcome!  No better site to learn on!

Thanks everybody!! I've been hunting with a compound for several years now but have been wanting to get into traditional. I ordered a Samick Sage 45 lb. I did upgrade to the fast flight flemish string and the bear hair rest. Everybody said that was a great beginner bow and the reviews were all great. I ordered from Three Rivers and the folks there were really knowledgeable and super helpful.

Welcome to the Gang...
Have to post some photos shooting that new Sage!  I've heard great things about it as well.  Just got my father-in-law the journey and he really enjoys it.  Nice shooting bow I thought.
