Extreme FOC and a Black Duglas Ultra
« on: October 16, 2007, 07:45:00 PM »
Hi there
Im tunning in a set of Beman 300 to my 66# Black Duglas Ultra with Hex5s. At the moment they are shooting slightly weak at 28.75" with 335grn up front.FOC 25.85%
I increased my draw length by 0.75" about 4 months ago in the hope of getting a bit more power out of the bow(not that it needed it.Its the fastest bow Iv shot). So Im thinking of going back to my old drew length and taking that 0.75" of power back out of the bow, which also  leaves me with 0.75" of arrow to play with, hopefuly that will allow me to shoot the 190grn El Grandes, anything up to 415grn up front (with the bits and bobs that Iv got).Total arrow of 697grn.
Im curious to know if any of you Black Duglas Ultra shooters out there shoot this sort of setup, and if so how are you finding it? Because the higher the FOC gets the better my bow shoots them.Just hope this keeps up with the heavier heads.

Thanks Doc!

Spent most of it on strong drink, fat women and archery, but the rest I wasted.
