Bigfoot Sasquatch TD LB Remarks
« on: December 19, 2015, 01:31:00 PM »
I few months ago I traded for a used LH Bigfoot Sasquatch TD.  I have shot many fine longbows and this one is at the top for me.  It is smooth, quiet and very fast.  Workmanship is top-notch also. If you are looking for a great bow contact Bigfoot Bows.  Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!  Ken

Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

Kudos, Ken!

That's a score right there!

I got mine 2+ yrs ago in late summer, put it thru it's paces and never looked back.  Have a couple others, but they never even get strung!

I lowered draw weight and had to go up in spine with same front weight...

Some designs must bring more to the table I guess...

Kirk built me a custom grip and nailed that too!

I predict you will have a long and happy marriage!

We're expecting our first...a set of Semi-Static tips late winter...

Kirk custom fits and tunes new limbs to existing risers, so it has to go back...but I can cope with that... just the worry post holidays of the USPS!

I too had to go up in spine. Smooth and quiet.  I love mine.

I think this is the bow you have. It was custom built in 2011 for a gentleman down in Texas.

Glad to hear she's still going strong.

Kirk,

That is definitely the handle but my limbs are curly maple with very nice black caps by the limb bolts.  I don't think they are the original limbs as they do not match the limb pad perfectly but it still shoots great.  Will order another one in the future when I can afford it.  Ken

NOTHING...nothing gets cheaper and Kirk's list gets longer...

Was why I went ahead and put down a deposit so I had a good few long months to come up with rest of cash...

Having him build alternate limbs for your BF Riser is a great way to go... but if he did it, being the riser is returned for custom fitting, you'd know it!!!   a 1-piece SS built to your specs is an eazy way to find double the pleasure!

Sounds to me like someone switched the limbs on that one with another bow. The original limbs on that bow were carbon backed... All of my bows are custom built and the limbs balanced to the riser.

Warning to other sasquatch owners.  My limbs are not built to interchange with other risers even though they may fit on the bow.

That means there is another Sasquatch out there with carbon limbs on it that may, or may not have alignment issues. You need to contact the person you purchased this bow from ASAP & find out if they have the original limbs.... This is not right, and could create problems for both bows now.

Kirk,

I sent a PM to the guy I got the bow from to see what the deal is.  Thanks.  Ken

Beauty of a bow, heed Kirk's advice. If the original limbs are not available talk with Kirk on how to proceed. Kirk also builds his bows draw weight specific for increased efficiency so those limbs may not be correct for you.
