Footed Shaft
« on: March 30, 2016, 04:12:00 PM »
While in Rochester, wife and I decided to slip over to see Terry at the Footed Shaft.  What an outstanding representative of traditional archery. We visited for about an hour between his customers and had a great chat.  Seems as though we knew a lot of the same people that we both met over the years. Picked up some full length feathers , some green aluminum shafts and my wife bought Barry Wensel's,  Once Upon a Time book. She started to read it in the store and couldn't put it down and of course she had to have it.  LOL

You get in the area make sure you get in and see Steve at the Footed Shaft.

Stopping in to see Terry is well worth the trip but don't forget that you aren't too far away from the Pope and Young museum. That is a must see.

Terry runs the shop honest and fair, just the principles Lamont built the business on.

Terry runs a great trad shop!  Unfortunately, I cannot help myself and usually leave with a "new to me" bow!     :bigsmyl:

The Pa. whitetails sure don't like the arrows they make for me, awesome people to deal with and great selection.
Now we're digging where the taters are.

Dropped in "The Footed Shaft" yesterday and came home with a 64" 45# Howatt ML-18 Bushmaster. Terry has a great variety of used and some new bows hanging on the wall and a excellent gentleman to visit and deal with. Can't go wrong if you do business at The Footed Shaft.

Being from the area, I dealt with Lamont and now Terry for a long time.  No one could run a business in a more honest, honorable, or customer-driven fashion than either of those gentlemen.  I was really glad to see the business taken over by someone that would continue the tradition Lamont created.  A business very well worth supporting...in fact I had a box of stuff from Terry delivered today!      :)

I spend many hours with Lamont over the years, after we loss him I just never went back. Sounds like its time to start new memories with the new owners. I'm only a little over an hour away so I'll have to take a road trip soon.

About as good as it gets. Best customer service, some of the best prices and like said above, Terry has filled Lamont's shoes well.
