kili custom bows anybody know anything about them

Need a little help gang!

Now that traditional archery has really bitten me hard I thought I would add some more bows to my collection. Well I found a bow that would be easy for me to get and it would put me into trad all the way by trading my compound for it but I don't know much about the bow.

Its a kili custom bow 63" 50#@28", 55#@29". Thats what it says anyway over at another archery site that I like to go too(I'm here more than over there anymore). There is pictures of the bow, but I don't want to put a link here in case it is against the rules, but I will give the link privately in pm if you would want to see pic's.

I know alot about compounds but my knowlegde of trad bows is still limited but I am learning. So any help about this name of bow would really help.

Thanks gang!

I bought a bow, cheap, online and sight unseen. It was made by a not-too-famous bowyer and set me back $200 new. It isn't the straightest, prettiest, or most efficient bow out there. Not by a long shot.

My point is that after a while I got to where I put an arrow where I was looking and it's only gotten better since. SO, figure on this: get a bow you can afford that's in decent shape. Buy a bunch of arrows and have someone help you with the tuning (this is the hardest part) then get out there and shoot!

No bow is perfect, and the fancier they are the better they shoot out of the hands of someone who has taken the time to master the form, but it won't make a bad form good. Whatever bow you get don't second guess it (unless it's too heavy for you to draw without shaking or causing yourself pain). Learn to shoot it and you'll know when your form is no longer an issue and whether or not you need to upgrade. Until then remember that traditional archery is an organic thing, made traditionally with wood that has all kinds of inherent variability. The only constant in this game is you - how you draw, how you focus on a spot, how you release, etc.

BEST OF LUCK and know that you've got a family here and a MOUNTAIN of knowledge to glean.

I am new to traditional archery as well and purchased a used Kili Custom Long Bow, from my understanding the guy who makes these bows is located in Spearfish Canyon somewhere inbetween Rapid City and Spearfish SD.  I really enjoy the bow I bought and am learning how to shoot it accurately although it is a bit of a challenge when coming from a compound setup.

ilarcher this bow was mine and traded a few months ago for a compound from the seller you're getting ready to buy from I had for some time. This bow is very quick and a great shooter and by the way it is 52@28 bow is marked Kili Custom bows and I believe it is a 64" bow. Great deal bow arrows and a fleece bowsock.

Good luck and yes go ahead and buy it you won't reqret it. If I had not bought my Zipper recurve I was going to buy it back!!!
