1. What do you use for your general woods roving, stump-shooting, clod-busting arrows?
- I started using the Hammer from 3 Rivers last year. I put one of the Barta Claws behind it. I have tried real hard (and failed thankfully) to loose them in tall grass, snow and even the creek. This combo works great for me.
2. What do you use for rabbits?
- Again, the Hammer with a Claw behind it.
3. What do you use for larger than rabbit-sized small game like groundhogs?
- I don't usually hunt groundhogs, but when I do I use sharp broadheads. Stay thirsty my friends.
4. What do you use for squirrels? Heads you don't mind losing.
- I don't like loosing ANY of my heads. I still use the hammer/claw combo (guess I could call it the "Claw Hammer") I chuck them up in my cordless drill and spin them against a piece of sandpaper. It puts a pretty good edge on them. The center of the head is slightly proud of the edge, preventing them from sticking in a tree trunk or branch. I never take "sky shots". About all of the squirrels I get are on or near the ground. A lot of times they are on the main trunk of a tree, 3 or 4 feet above the ground.
