making an endless loop string
« on: October 08, 2010, 10:15:00 PM »
i have my own string jig and would like to make my own recurve string. i make compound strings and am wondering if there is any difference in the process? what size serving for the loops? when do you twist and do you measure for length while under tension? thanks,
Jeff

no difference in the basic process

what size serving for the loops?

whatever size fits snugly on the bottom limb nock and loosely enuf to slide down the limb for the top limb nock

when do you twist and do you measure for length while under tension?

very littly twist is needed or wanted with an endless string - just enuf to round the string off.

thanks,
Jeff

ps - we don't like using the "c" word around here    ;)
