That's right! Very important information. I'm talking about your information from your successful hunts.

Trad Gang is like the Encyclopedia (everybody knows what that is... right?) of bowhunting knowledge. Help us all learn by giving us the important information about your harvests.

1. A picture is always nice. If you can't manage it someone on here will post it for you.

2. Run down your equipment... Brand of bow, it's draw weight, length, type of arrow and brand of broadhead w/number of blades.

3. How much penetration you got and what organs were cut. (you do poke around doing a post mortem, right?)

4. Distance of it's last run, was the blood trail copious or sparse.

5. Distance of shot.

By doing this we can build a reference for all to use. I believe we are all hungry for these details.

Opening morning here in Indiana.

1. Sorry no pics.

2. Tradgang bow swap recurve from 2012 from Jess Stuart. 47# at 27". Carbon blem, Ribtek 190.

3. Passed through and stuck in log.  Double lung.

4. No run as it was impaled on the arrow.  It did bark a bit.  Much blood.

5. 18 ft. from the ground while stillhunting.

Oh yeah, it was a squirrel

Brand new Jason Kendal Kanati Longbow. 60lb@30", 185 Gr grizzly single bevel, 75 grain adapter, 50 grain insert, 340 easton axis. The deer was angling away steeply, the arrow struck too far back in the rump, missed the femoral artery but angle forward and exited on the opposite side ribs. The deer traveled along a creek bed  for about 1/4 mile and piled up on along side the stream.  There was almost no blood on the ground that I could find.

Kanati longbow, 60lb@30", axis shaft, 50 gr insert, 185 gr grizzly w 75 gr adapter. Passed through both shoulders and stuck in the ground. The deer went about 75 yards leaving a good blood trail.

From the ground 8 yards. Shot was broadside and behind the shoulder. Got both lungs with a complete pass through.
50# grizzly with Beamon ICS 500's @29.5"
5" feathers, 4 fletch.  
A muzzy Phantom 200 grain two blade.
He went about 60 yards and piled up.
ZERO BLOOD TRAIL!

What's the general consensus of putting it in pow wow and in the highlights? I just posted mine in the 2017 Highlights only. Saw no need to eat up more bytes of data in two spots. Especially since everything is being converted.

Good points.  My hunting time the last few years has been very limited so I depend on reading about others hunts to get my fix.  Details are important.

I guess I should add one of my own... I haven't downloaded my photos yet so I don't have one of those.

I shot a small doe a couple of weeks ago. The shot was 20-25 yds. The was a 62" Sunbear recurve, 50# @28, 2018 Aluminum shaft, 4.75 inch 4 fletch 75x105, Magnus Buzzcut 4 blade 150 gr.
Arrow centered both lungs and was stopped by offside shoulder.
The blood trail was OK but tall grass made it more  difficult than it should have been. I'd say she ran about 70-80 yards
